One of the questions I have been asked about prints is ´What is the difference between a stretched canvas and a canvas with a black frame?’ This side by side image allows me to show you. A stretched canvas is wrapped around a wooden frame (that you cannot see) and ready to hang on a wall, much like an original gallery wrapped painting. A black floating frame can be added to a print to give a little extra something, much like the photo on the right. It too, is stretched and wrapped onto a wooden frame, just with that extra mounting of a floating frame. Hope this helps! #lorimeeboer #canadianartist #fineartprints #floatingframe.
